About me

I am a Polish biologist, bird lover and a ringer, working mostly in NE Poland, but also occasionally at seaside or Swedish ringing stations. Since early 90's I am an acitve birder in North Podlasie Region - Biebrza, Bialowieza, Narew and the other grounds. I started as a bird photographer and I organised several exhibitions of my pictures.

I graduated from biology and specialized in bird ringing. It was my idea to create the first regional ringing project "Akcja Siemianówka" in Siemianowka Reservoir near Belarus border. Currently I am a freelance biologist and a bird specialist. I have guided birdwatching groups in Poland for 9 years. I am a licenced guide to Podlasie Province and Biebrza National Park. I also write articles to birding magazines and cooperate with local mass-media. My Polish birdlist recently reached 296 bird species after twitching second Polish Radde's Warbler, third Lesser Sand Plover and some more rarities like: Shag and Pygmy Cormorant, Saker Falcon, Iceland Gull or Arctic Redpoll.

I speak English well and I know also WP scientific bird names.

On the 4 th of May I started my own firm PO-LARUS.
